Malaysian citizen held with 7 gold bars

Customs officials arrested a Malaysian national along with 7kgs of gold at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here on Sunday night.
The arrestee was identified as Cyan Gi Kiong, 47.
Othello Chowdhury, deputy commissioner (Customs) of customs preventive team, said the Malaysian citizen landed at the airport from a flight, OD166 of Malindo Air, at 10pm.
On information, the team challenged him after he crossed the green channel and recovered seven gold bars worth around 3.50crore searching his jacket, said the official.
