2 killed in Chattogram truck accident

Two people were killed and another injured after a truck hit another one on Dhaka-Chottagram Highway in Barotakia area of Mirsarai upazila in Chattogram early Tuesday, UNB reports.
The deceased were identified as truck driver Md Jahangir, 35, of Charlaxya area in Karnaphuli upazila and his helper Abdur Rashid, 35 of Mokimpur village in Naogaon district.
A Chattogram-bound truck rammed into another one from behind, leaving two of them dead on the spot, said Md Jashim Uddin, Deputy Assistant Director of Chattogram Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Later, a team of firefighters recovered the bodies and sent injured Bedarul, 40, to a local health complex, he added.
