‘Drug trader’ killed in Munshiganj ‘gunfight’

A suspected drug trader was killed in a gunfight with police in Srinagar upazila of Munshiganj early Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Md Tajel, 36 and an accused of 10 cases.
The incident occurred at Baroikhali area of the upazila at 1:10am.
Officer-in-charge of Srinagar police station Eunuch Ali said Tajel was arrested from Monirampur upazila of Jessore. As per the Tajel information, police conducted operation at West Baroikhali area to recover arms and drugs.
A group of terrorists fired bullets to police vehicle. To retaliate, police also back fire, Triggering a gunfight and Tajel was shot as he was trying to escape.
Later,Tajel was admitted to Upazila Health Complex where duty doctor declared him dead, reports banglanews24.com.
Three policemen were also injured in the incident.
