Alliance partners to get 70 maximum JS seats: Quader

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today said the members of AL-led 14-party alliance will not get more than 70 seats to contest in the upcoming national elections.

The parliamentary seats allocation among the AL’s alliance partners is currently being discussed, Quader told reporters adding that a final decision in this regard will be announced in a day or two.

Awami League had an internal discussion over the matter with its alliance partners including Jatiya Party, he said at Awami League headquarters on Bangabandhu Avenue in Dhaka. 

Earlier in the day, AL held a meeting with its leaders and alliance members at the party office today.
