Man killed in Gazipur road crash

A man was killed and another injured when a truck rammed a covered-van on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Rajendrapur intersection here on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Mosharraf Hossain, a helper of the truck driver, hailing from Mymensingh district.

Zakir Hossain, station officer of Gazipur Fire Service and Civil Defence, said the accident took place in the area when a truck hit a Mymensingh-bound covered-van from behind, leaving the truck driver Abu Hanif and helper injured.

The injured were taken to a local hospital where the doctors declared Mosharraf dead.
