Garment industry workers are continuing agitation in rejection of the revised pay structure.

Several thousand workers continued demonstration on the Dhaka-Tangail highway this morning since 9:00am and tried to put up a blockade.

As reported, there were workers of at least 10 factories in the agitation. Industrial police had removed them from the road during initial attempts.

The workers were saying that their basic salary was not raised as expected.
