Natore trader’s body found hanging from tree, 1 held

Police recovered the hanging body of a trader at Nazirpur Natunpara village in Gurudaspur upazila on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Abul Kalam, a mortgage trader of the village. 

Kalam remained missing since he went out of home around 9pm on Monday, said Sub-inspector Shahidul Islam of Gurudaspur Police Station, quoting family members.

Later in Tuesday morning, locals found Kalam’s body hanging from a tree at a Litchi orchard in the village and informed police. 

On information, police recovered the body, said the police official.

Kalam’s body might have been hanged after killing him by stabbing, he added.

Meanwhile, police detained a young man named Shahidul Islam over the killing.
