FR Tower had ‘minimal firefighting equipment’: Fire service chief

Director general of Fire Service and Civil Defense Sazzad Hossain said boards used in internal decoration, plastic and electronic items helped the fire spread rapidly and increase its intensity.
The fire service chief said the FR Tower had "minimal firefighting equipment".
"And, they were unusable."
Sazzad also said the fire ravaged the eighth, ninth and the 10th floor.
However, the fire service DG declined to comment on what sparked the fire before the investigation was over.
He said their search operations would continue till 10:00am Friday.
Just a month ago on 20 February night, another deadly blaze that broke out in Old Dhaka killed 70 people.
