5000 yaba recovered in city, one held

A team of the Detective Branch (DB) Police has arrested a drug peddler with 5,000 pieces of yaba tablets from city’s Hatirjheel area.
The arrested is M Zakir Hossen, 35.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of DB police conducted drive in Hatirjheel area around 4pm and arrested the drug peddler with the yaba tablets, said M Masudur Rahman, deputy police commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
During interrogation, Zakir admitted that he is involved in yaba selling, he said.
A case was filed in this connection.
