Govt employees may enjoy 9-day Eid holiday again

Government employees can enjoy nine-day Eid-ul-Azha Holiday at a stretch this year again if they can take a leave on August 14 or government declares special leave for them.

According to government holiday calendar of 2019, the Eid-ul-Azha might be observed on August 12 in Bangladesh.

If the Eid starts on August 12, the holidays will be on August 11, 12 and 13 (Sunday, Monday and Tuesday). August 15 is govt holyday.

Meanwhile, August 16 and 17 are weekly holidays (Friday and Saturday). That means only August 14 (Monday) is only office day in between August 9 to 17.

So, government employees this year are going to enjoy long holidays of 9 days this year again, if they can manage a leave on August 14 or government declared the day as special holiday.
