UN ex-chief Ban Ki-moon to visit Rohingya camp today

Former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, who arrived in Bangladesh on Tuesday for a two-day visit to the International Climate Conference on 'Global Commission on Adaptation', is going to visit the Rohingya refugee camp in Cox's Bazar today(Wednesday).

He will fly for Cox’s Bazar in the afternoon.

On the occasion of his arrival, the district administration of Cox's Bazar has taken necessary preparations. Ukhia Upazila Nirbahi  Officer (UNO) disclosed this information.

The UNO said that the global leaders are coming to join the Global Climate Conference on 'Global Commission on Adaptation' will be divided into two parts and will see the climate situation in the country. Among them, former United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will visit  Rohingya camp and will observe the environment.
