He made the remarks while inaugurating the cleanliness and awareness campaign of Bangladesh Awami League for second day at the party's central office at Bangabandhu Avenue in the city.

Terming dengue situation as a humanitarian crisis, Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said, “Thousands of people are being infected with dengue fever not only in Bangladesh, but also in China, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines. People from all walks of life have to come forward to fight the dengue menace.”

He also informed that Awami League will go on its fight unless the Aedes aegypti mosquitoes and dengue fever are removed from the country.
