Banks to remain open on August 9, 10

All branches of scheduled banks at the industrial zones will remain open on August 9 and 10 (Saturday and Sunday) to facilitate payment of wages to workers of garment factories.

A circular signed by Bangladesh Bank Deputy Manager M Sirazul Islam on Sunday, was sent to the chief executives of all scheduled banks.

According to a circular, the industrials zones where banks will remain open are Dhaka metropolitan areas Ashulia, Tongi, Gazipur, Savar, Bhaluka, Narayanganj and Chittagong metropolitan area.
