Khandker Anwarul Islam to be appointed as new cabinet secy

Senior Secretary to the Bridges Division Khandker Anwarul Islam has been named as the new cabinet secretary.

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal made the disclosure while talking to journalists after a meeting at the Cabinet Division on Wednesday noon.

Anwarul Islam will replace Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shaiful Alam, whose tenure will end this October.

The finance minister also informed that Shaiful Alam will be appointed as the alternative executive director of the World Bank after his tenure ends.
