Man accused in 10 cases killed in Chattogram ‘gunfight’

A suspected robber was killed in a reported gunfight with members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) at Banshkhali area in Chattogram on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Md Imran, 35, son of Md Siraj Fakir, a resident of Purba Chambal of the upazila.
The gunfight took place at 8:15am at Puraba Chambal area of the upazila.
Confirming the news Md Mashkur Rahman, assistant media police officer of RAB-7, said a gunfight took place at the area at around 8:15 between the elite force and robbers.
After the gunfight, the RAB team recovered the bullet hit body of Siraj from the spot, he added
RAB-7 also recovered a foreign pistol, local arms and bullets from the spot, he said,
