Asaduzzaman appointed chief of National Security Cell

The government has appointed Md. Asaduzzaman Mia, who is now serving as the DMP commissioner for one month on contract, as the chief of the "National Security Affairs Cell" under the cabinet division.

The public administration ministry on Tuesday issued a gazette notification signed by Md. Aliur Rahman, deputy secretary of the ministry in this regard.

According to the gazette, BCS cadre (Police) official Asaduzzaman Mia has been given a three-year contractual appointment from September 14 or the day of his joining.

He will be the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the proposed cell. The sources said the CEO's main task will be to help implement the decision of the "National Committee on Security Affairs (NCSA)".
