Youth arrested for ‘raping’ grade III student in Magura

Police arrested a man for allegedly raping a schoolgirl at Digha village in Mohammadpur upazila on Thursday.
The arrestee was identified as Enamul Haque, 26, son of Humayun Fakir of the village.
He was a neighbour of the victim.
Enamul went to the girl’s house in the afternoon when she was alone and raped her, said Tarok Nath Biswas, officer-in-charge of Mohammadpur Police Station.
Locals rescued the girl hearing her screams and apprehended Enamul.
Police later arrested the man from the spot.
A case has been filed over the incident, the OC said.
