RAB cordons off Samrat’s brother house at Shantinagar

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) were conducting a drive at the residence of Badal Chowdhury, brother of detained Jubo League leader Ismail Hossain Samrat at Shantinagar in the city on Sunday noon.
A team of RAB, led by executive magistrate of RAB Headquarters (HQ) Md Akhtaruzzaman, stated the drive around 2:30 pm.
There are allegations that Badal Chowdhury looks after the illegal casino business of his brother Samrat,
Earlier, Samrat was arrested on for allegedly running an illegal casino at a club in the capital at 5:00am.
RAB arrested the alleged kingpins of “casino” business and his associate Anamul Haque Arman on specific allegation from Chauddagram upazila of Cumilla.
