A college student was killed in a road crash in Barishal

A college boy was killed on Saturday night as a truck crashed into his motorcycle.
The deceased was identified as Abhoy Das, 17, Infra Polytechnic Institute's first-year student and son of Sajal Das of Sarikor in the district's Gournadi upazila. He was living in a mess in the city's Sher-e-Bangla Road area.
The truck's witnesses struck the bike at 11:30 in Nathullabad, leaving Abhoy critically wounded.
He was taken to the Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital where he was declared dead by doctors.
Airport Police Station officer Zahid Bin Alam said the truck was confiscated but his driver was able to flee.
