PM asks ministries to correct list of Razakars

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has instructed the authorities concerned to publish a fresh list of Razakars after scrutinizing the names and making necessary corrections, said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.
“There are some mistakes in the list of Razakars that have come to our notice. The prime minister has given necessary instruction to the home and liberation war affairs ministries to correct the list immediately,” the Awami League general secretary told reporters after a meeting at the party’s central office on Bangabandhu Avenue on Wednesday.
The liberation war affairs ministry has already apologized for the mistakes and assured all of correcting the list of Razakars immediately, he added.
On December 15, the liberation war affairs ministry published a list of 10,789 Razakars who had teamed up with the Pakistani occupation forces in committing massacre during the country’s Liberation War in 1971.
