Covid-19: 44 more die, 2,617 test positive, 1,782 recover in 24hrs

On Thursday, another 2,617 coronavirus patients were detected in Bangladesh within 24 hours, raising the overall number of infections to 269,115.

Throughout the time, 44 new victims were killed and the total number of fatalities rose to 3,557.

The announcement was made in a press release by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Thursday afternoon.

Health authorities reported that 1,782 more people recovered from the disease every day, with a total of 154,871 recoveries.

During the last 24 hours, 86 coronavirus research laboratories around the country tested 13,162 samples.
