Van puller killed in Kurigram road accident

A van puller was killed in a road accident in Amin Bazar area on Kurigram-Rangpur road under Rajarhat upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased was identified as Siraj Miah, 60, resident of Hidhar village in Chhinai union of Rajarhat upazila.
The accident occurred when a Kurigram-bound truck coming from Rangpur hit Siraj Miah's van in the area around 9am as he was returning home, leaving him dead on the spot, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rajarhat Police Station Raju Sarker told BSS.
Police could not able to detain the truck driver as he managed to flee the scene with his vehicle, the OC added.
