Customs intelligence detained a man with 3.5 kg gold bars worth around Taka 1.75 crore at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here today.

"As per intelligence report, members of customs intelligence detained Mohammad Adam Ali, 45, who boarded flight BG 022 from Muscat to Dhaka via Chittagong as a domestic passenger. We found 30 gold bars hidden inside a secret pocket on his pant under the belt," a customs release said.
