A Bangladeshi national was picked up by members of India’s Border Security Force (BSF) from Burimari border point in Patgram upazila early Tuesday.

The BSF members from Changrabandha camp picked up Nuruzzaman, 23, son of Hitlar Uddin, a resident of Panishala village of the upazila, while crossing the border around 4.30am along with cattle, said Lt Col Golam Morshed, commanding officer of Lalmonirhat Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB-15).

Protesting the incident, BGB has sent a letter to BSF to arrange a flag meeting, said Morshed.
