Bangladesh-Myanmar frontier seminar begins

The frontier conference between Bangladesh-Myanmar has been begun at Pilkhana Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) headquarters in the capital around 9:30am on Sunday morning.

 

BGB Director General and chief of police general of Myanmar Border Guard Police (BGP) are discussing about the issues.

A six-member team led by chief of Mayanmar police general staff Mayo Shoye, came to Dhaka to join the conference on Saturday.

Besides, a 16-member team led by BGB’s director general Md Anisur Rahman joined the conference on behalf of Bangladesh.

The main intention of the conference of this year is making good relation between frontier soldiers of two neighbouring countries.

In the conference, the main discussion issues from Bangladesh are prevention of Iligally enter to Bangladesh from Mayanmar, Illigal drugs specially Yaba smuggling stop and prevention of Bangladeshi fishermen arrest by BGP.

On the other hand, the main discussion issues from Myanmar are prevention of frontier crime and illegal entry, information exchange about arrested Bangladeshi fishermen and fishing boat, prevention of drug smuggling.
