A Bangladeshi national was picked up by members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) from Bongerbari border point in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat early Sunday, reports news agency UNB.

The BSF members from Arun camp picked up Mahir Uddin, 40, son of Abbas Ali, a resident of Sarkerpara village of the upazila, while a group of cattle traders, including Arun, was crossing the border around 4.30am along with cattle, said Lt Col Golam Morshed, commanding officer of Lalmonirhat Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB-15).
Protesting the incident, BGB has sent a letter to BSF to arrange a flag meeting, said Morshed.
