7 suspected militants held in Mymensingh

Police detained seven people in Mymensingh town suspecting their involvement with militant activities.
Acting on a tip-off that suspected militants holed up inside a one-storey building at Bhabanipur Lodge in Boro Kalibari area, police conducted a two-hour drive at the house from 12:30pm, our Mymensingh correspondent reports quoting Syed Nurul Islam, superintendent of Mymensingh police.
Police initially asked them to surrender but as they did not comply, the law enforcers broke into the house and detained the seven, the police official added.
No firearms or explosives were found in the house. But a large number of bank cheques, computers and Islamic books were found in the house.
