Cousins killed in Mymensingh head-on crash

Two people were killed as a bus and auto-rickshaw collided head-on on Mymensingh-Kishoreganj highway in Nandail upazila of Mymensingh on Friday morning.

The deceased, Shatil Mia and Shakib Mia, are professional auto-rickshaw drivers and relatives.

Police and witnesses said the cousins were returning home by the auto-rickshaw from Haluaghat upazila of the district. A bus from opposite direction hit their vehicle from the front.

Nandail Highway police officer-in-charge Md Ohiduzzaman said the police have bodies were recovered and seized the bus.

The bus driver managed to flee the scene, the OC added.
