ACC quizzing 4 high officials for haor corruption

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is interrogating four high officials of the government on charges of embezzling crores of money through corruption without constructing 28 embankments in the haors of Sunamganj.
A three-member team of the ACC headed by its director Md. Belal Hossain quizzed the officials on Thursday (May 04).
ACC’s deputy director and public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhatyacharja confirmed the matter to the Banglanews.
The quizzed officials are director general of the Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) Md. Jahangir Kabir, additional director general Abdul Hye Baki, superintendent engineer Md Harunur Rashid and joint secretary of the Water Resources Ministry Md. Khalilur Rahman.
