The raid in what was believed to be a militant hideout in Natore Sadar has yielded nothing, police said today.

Nobody was found inside the three-storied building in Harishpur area, our local correspondent reports quoting Abul Khayer, additional superintendent of district police.

"We carried out the raid under specific instruction. But the raid ended empty," the police official said.

The cordon, that was placed around 11:00am, was withdrawn around 2:00pm today.

The incident took place on the sides of another major raid in Rajshahi, where six people including five suspected militants and a fire fighter were killed.
