26 held in Meherpur crackdown

Police conducted raids in different upazilas of the district and detained 26 people from Monday (May 8) to early Tuesday (May 9).
Superintendent of police Anisur Rahman directed Gangni police station officer-in-charge (OC) Anwar Hossain, Mujibnagar police station OC Kamal Hossain and Meherpur sadar police station OC Syed Iqbal Bahar Chowdhury to lead the raids.
Additional superintendent of police Ahsan Habib told Banglanews that the detained includes accused in regular cases besides drug peddling.
