RAB starts operation in Jhenidah ‘militant hideout'

Bomb disposal unit of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have started their operation at the suspected militant hideouts at Chuadanga village in Sadar upazila of Jhenaidah on Tuesday noon.

The bomb disposal unit arrived in the spot around 11:50am from Khulna and started their operation, said major Monir Ahmed of the elite force.

Members of the elite force and local police cordoned off the two houses, owned by Selim and Pranto, adjacent to a camp of RAB-6 since early morning, said the RAB official.

They also recovered two suicidal vests from a hedge of bamboos near the house of Pranto, added the official.
