War crimes: Arrest order for Bogra ex-BNP lawmaker

The International Crimes Tribunal-1 today issued an arrest warrant against a former BNP lawmaker from Bogra for his alleged crimes committed during the Liberation War in 1971.

The tribunal issued the warrant against Abdul Momin Talukder alias Khoka following a petition moved by prosecutor Sultan Mahmud Simon.

Momin was the Razakar commander in Adamdighi upazila of Bogra during the Liberation War, Simon said.

Investigation of the case started in January last year and the investigation officer has found Momin’s involvement in crimes committed during the Liberation War, Simon said.
