Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returned home in the early hours of today concluding her four-day official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the prime minister and members of her entourage landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here at 1.30 am.

Sheikh Hasina left Dhaka for Riyadh on May 20 to join the first-ever Arab Islamic-American (AIA) Summit at the invitation of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

During her visit, the prime minister also performed holy umrah at the Haram Sharif in Makkah and offered ziarat at the Rawza Mubarak of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) in Madinah.

The highly anticipated AIA Summit was held at King Abdul Aziz International Conference Center in the Saudi capital on Sunday with the slogan "Together We Prevail".

US President Donald Trump and 56 Arab and Muslim leaders discussed the ways of combating extremism and illicit financing in the summit.

The Bangladesh premier delivered a written statement calling upon the world leaders to stop arms supply to the terrorists and militants.

Sheikh Hasina also put forward a number of proposals in the summit to fight terrorism.

Before the start of the AIA Summit on Sunday, the prime minister met US President Donald Trump and invited him to visit Bangladesh.

On the sidelines of the summit, Sheikh Hasina held meetings with Tajik President Emomalii Rahmon and Malaysian Premier Najib Razak.
