3 ‘neo JMB’ men arrested in Bogra

Detectives arrested three suspected operatives of neo JMB, a offshoot of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), from Muroil area in Adamdighi upazila on Thursday night.
The arrestees are Habibur Rahman Rasel, 35, son of Doctor Abu Bakar Siddique, hailing from Saghata upazila in Gaibandha district, Abdullah Kafi alias Farhan, 20, son of Tipu Sultan, and Abdul Aziz alias Mamun, 20, son of Shamsuzzoha, hailing from Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj district.
A team of detective branch (DB) of police conducted drive in the area around 10:15pm and arrested the trio along with a pistol, a magazine, five rounds bullets, one kilogram of gun powder, a machete and a motor cycle, said Sonaton Chakroborty, additional superintendent (Sadar Circle and Media) of police.
