Bodies of 4 army personnel brought to Dhaka

The bodies of four army personnel, who died while rescuing people from landslide in Rangamati, have been brought to Dhaka on Wednesday.

The bodies were brought by a helicopter at 10:45am.

The deceased army personnel were identified as Major Mohammad Mahfuzul Haque of Manikganj district, Captain Tanvir Salam Shanto of Patuakhali district, Corporal Azizul Haq of Mymensingh district and Sepoy Shaheen Alam of Bogra district.

On Tuesday, the army members went to rescue people, who were trapped in landslides. At the time, a chunk of mud collapsed on them, leaving four army personnel dead on the spot.

One army man named Azizur Rahman, is still missing.

Besides, 10 army personnel were injured in the incident. Of them, five personnel have been brought to Dhaka Combine Military hospital (CMH).
