2 died in Sirajganj, Comilla road crashes

Two people were died in separate road accidents in Sirajganj and Comilla districts on Friday night.

In Sirajganj, a man was died and 30 others were injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Khulna highway in Puratan Muksudpur of Muksudpur upazila on Friday night.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Azizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Muksudpur Police Station, said that the accident took place when a 'Dola Paribahan' bus hit a stationary truck parked beside the highway around 11:00 am.

Then, a Chittagong-bound bus of 'Didar Paribahan' from Khulna hit the bus from backside which left one dead on the spot and 30 other bus passengers injured, added the OC.

The injured were admitted to Muksudpur Upazila Health Complex.

In Comilla, a man was died as a vehicle ran him over on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Kabila area of Burichong upazila on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Aftab Uddin, son of late Mujibur Rahman, a resident of Purbahossainpur village in Parbotipur upazila of Dinajpur district.

Mahbubur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Moynamoti Highway Police Station, said that the vehicle ran Aftab over on the highway around 10:30 pm, leaving him dead on the spot.
