Two died in Savar, Laxmipur road crashes

Two people were died in seperate road accidents in Savar and Laxmipur on Saturday.

In Savar, a private car driver was died and ten others were injured in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a private car on Dhaka-Aricha highway near Kalampur area of Dhamrai upazila in Savar on Saturday morning.

Rezaul Haque, officer-in-charge of Dhamrai Police Station, said that the accident happened when the bus collided with the private car in the area.

The private car driver died on the spot while ten other people sustained injuries in the incident.

On information, police recovered the body.

In Laxmipur, a man was died and three others were injured in a head-on collision between a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and microbus in Kaulidanga area in Ramganj upazila on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Shaheb Ali, son of Altaf Ali, a resident of Purbabigha area of the upazila.

Md Tota Miah, officer-in-charge of Ramganj Police Station, said that the accident took place when the microbus collided with the auto-rickshaw in the area, leaving Shaheb dead on the spot.

Three others auto-rickshaw passengers were also injured in the accident.
