PM mourns death of Dr Korunamoy Goswami

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock at the death of eminent music researcher Dr Korunamoy Goswami.

In a condolence message, the prime minister recalled Dr Goswami's contribution to the fields of art, literature and music. "His death is an irreparable loss to these fields," she said.

Sheikh Hasina prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.

Dr Goswami died at his DOHS residence in the capital last night, family sources said.
