BSF picks up two Bangladeshis from Naogaon frontier

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up two Bangladeshi nationals from Kalmudanga border area in Sapahar upazila early Wednesday.

The victims were identified as Mahbubur Rahman, 28, son of Shafiqul Islam of Kalmudanga village and Mozammel Hossain, 40, son of Zillur Rahman of Kariapara village.

Commanding officer of BGB-14 Battalion in Patnitala upazila, Lieutenant Colonel Khijiri Khan, said a group of Bangladeshi nationals went to the bordering area around 5:00 am.

At one stage, the BSF members from Sanpara camp chased them and caught Mahbubur Rahman and Mozammel from near the main pillar No 240, while the others managed to flee. They were taken away by the BSF members.

Meanwhile, a letter was sent to the BSF seeking release of the two Bangladeshi youths, said Khijiri Khan.
