‘Robber’ killed in Sundarbans ‘gunfight’

An alleged robber was killed in a “gunfight” with Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members in Khulna range of the Sundarbans early today.

Deceased Rauf, 42, was chief of Sundarbans-based robber gang ‘Majnu Bahini’, according to a text message sent to the media by Rab headquarters.

Several firearms and ammunition were recovered from the spot.
