2 cops among several hurt in Mirpur garments workers clash

Two police officials and several others were injured as garments workers engaged in a clash with law enforcers in Mirpur 1 of Dhaka this morning.

Mehedi Hasan, inspector (investigation) of Shah Ali Police Station and another policemen whose identity could not be known immediately, were hurt when brick chips were thrown at them, police said.  

The clash was ensued when workers of a garments factory started agitating in front of Mollick Tower in the area demanding due salaries and bonuses, said Masud Ahmed, deputy commissioner (Mirpur division).
