Twelve get death for Rajan murder

Twelve people have been sentenced to death for murdering college student Rajan Sarkar three years ago in Tangail.

Special District Judge Wahiduzzaman Sikdar gave the order on Tuesday. 

Eight among the 12 convicts were present in court. The rest have been absconding since the beginning of the trial.

Rajan Sarkar, a second year student of the Dhanbari Degree College in Tangail's Bhuiyapur, was hacked to death for rivalry over land on Apr 13 of 2014, according to the case details.
