Cattle farm owner, caretaker killed in Mymensingh

The owner and a caretaker of a cattle farm were found dead at the farm in Ramgopalpur area in Sadar upazila on Monday noon.

The deceased were identified as Mozaffar Hossian, 55, owner of the farm, and Siddik, 30, a caretaker.

Kamrul Islam, officer in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station, said locals found two bodies floating in a pond of the farm this noon and informed police, reports UNB.

Later, a team of police rushed in and recovered the bodies, with their hands and legs tied up.

A gang of thieves stole 10 cows from the farm on Sunday night, the OC said, adding that after being obstructed, the thieves tied up hands and feet of the duo and threw into the farm's pond, prompting them to drown.

Police, meanwhile, detained a man - Taher - in this connection.
