Advance return train tickets for Eid travels go on sale from Friday

Bangladesh Railway has started selling of returning tickets for Eid journeys from today (Friday).

The return tickets for the journeys of September 3 is available on August 25, and for September 4 on August 26, for September 5 on August 27, for September 6 on August 28 and for September 7 on August 29.

The tickets are available at Rajshahi, Khulna, Rangpur, Dinajpur and Lalmonirhat stations.

Minister Mazibul said Bangladesh Railway has cancelled holidays of its officials to ensure undisrupted service for the Eid passengers.

He said additional measures have been taken to ensure security.

Seven pairs of special train services will be added for the purpose of Eid journey, which will start operation from four days before Eid and will continue till a week after.

Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest religious festival for Muslims, is likely to be held on September 2.

The ticket sale begins at 8:00am and each passenger will be able to buy maximum four tickets.
