Pistol, yaba pills recovered in Rajshahi

Police on early Thursday recovered a pistol, 142 pieces of yaba tablets, one gram of heroin from Hujripara area of Poba upazila in the district.

Officer-in-Charge of Poba Police Station Parimal Kumar Chakraborty said being tipped-off, a team of police led by inspector (investigation) Hasmat Ali conducted a drive in the area.

Sensing the presence of law enforcers, a drug peddler managed to flee the scene leaving a gun, a packet of yaba tablets and heroin.

Police later seized those from the spot, he added.
