Benapole Customs exceeds revenue target

Benapole Customs has collected Tk 45.40 crore more than the revenue target fixed by the National Board of Revenue (NBR) for 2016-2017 fiscal year.
According to the sources at the customs, Tk 3,805.70 crore was collected in revenue in the fiscal year of 2016-17 against the target of Tk 3,760.30 crore.
In 2015-2016 fiscal, the customs earned Tk 2,940 crore against the revised target of Tk 2,850 crore. At first, the customs fixed Tk 3,143 crore revenue target.
Moreover, the customs could not achieve the revenue targets set for 2013-2014 and 2011-2012 fiscals, too.
