Dhaka Stock Exchange,Chittagong Stock Exchange witness fall

Trading on the country's two bourses Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) is underway amid a negative trend of share-price indices on Wednesday.

DSEX, the benchmark index of DSE, shed over 7.05 points or 0.12 percent to 5812.21 at 12:43 pm.

The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, also declined 0.82 points or 0.03 percent to stand at 2133.42 points.

But, the DSE Shariah Index (DSES) went up by 1.03 points or 0.07 percent to 1323.13.

Trade deals stood at 76408 with volume of transactions being Tk 5789.13 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 119 advanced, 159 declined and 41 remained unchanged.

RAK Ceramic (Bangladesh) Limited was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 338.29 million changing hands followed by Doreen Power Generations & Systems, IFAD Autos and Unique Hotels & Resorts.

The port city bourse - Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) - also witnessed a downward trend in the early with its Selective Category Index losing 24.29 points to 18041.31 at 12:39 pm.

Of the issues traded till then, 70 gained, 125 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
