Maritime ports of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted distant cautionary signal no one over deep depression over West-central Bay and adjoining East-central Bay.

The deep depression over West-Central bay and adjoining East-central bay moved West-Northwestwards further over the same area (lat. L5.0on, long. 87.2"8) and was centered at 6 am on Tuesday about 950 km southwest of Chattogram port, 890 km Southwest of Cox's Bazar port, 870 km South-Southwest of Mongla port and 850 km south-southwest of Payra port.

It is likely to intensify further and move in a North/Northwesterly direction, said a Met office bulletin.

Maximum sustained wind speed within 48 km of the deep depression centre is about 50 kph rising to 60 kph in gusts/squalls, it said.

Sea will remain rough near the deep depression centre.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North bay and deep sea have been advised to take shelter immediately and remain in shelter till further notice.
