12 more test positive for COVID-19 in C'nawabganj

Twelve more persons have tested positive for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours till this morning, raising the total caseload to 5,865 in the district.

During the time, 119 samples were tested as 12 persons were detected coronavirus positive, showing the infection rate 10.08 percent, civil surgeon office sources said.

Among the newly detected patients, eight are from Sadar upazila and four others from Gomostapur upazila.

A total of 61 patients are undergoing treatment in the district. Of them, 33 are in dedicated Covid hospital and others at home.

Meanwhile, 157 patients have died of COVID-19 and 5,647 have recovered from the disease here, the sources added.
